Has anyone read that book? Breaking past your set point? The article mentions hitting a plateau after 6 months or losing about 10% of your bodyweight.
If you take a look at my progress:
The plateau started in mid december, 6 months after I started. I've lost 25.5% of my bodyweight, (340lbs - 253lbs) and over 10 inches off my waist. I still have about 53 more pounds to go and probably another 4 inches.
The idea of having to maintain this for another 6 months is daunting, but not unexpected. I didn't put on all of this weight in one year, I shouldn't expect to lose it all in one year. I just got addicted to the success and progress. I've tried a lot of the gimics, calorie zig zagging, carb cycling. I religiously track my calories so I know I am not cheating. This is the real deal. A true plateau. My focus here should be on building my fitness level even more (3 more weeks left of P90X! I'll probably start it over and do another 90 days) and just trying to eat clean and healthy. I guess when my body is ready, the weightloss will resume.
Might pick up the book though, seems like an interesting read.
EDIT - The pic seems to not be displaying well. On my IE it ends in december. Suffice it to say the tail continues, flat, out to the present day at about 253 lbs.
