The New Rules of Lifting for Women???

I'm considering purchasing this book. Before I do, I'm wondering what people think of it. If you've read the book, was it helpful? Did you use the information and see results? Would you recommend this book?

I'm not new to weight-lifting, but would like to do it more effectively and efficiently. I don't want a book that will tell me what I already know... that lifting burns more resting calories, doesn't bulk women up, etc.

Any input you have would be appreciated!

I just bought it and am about half way through reading it. Still haven't decided for sure if I'm going to do it, mostly due to physical limitations that I have. There's a group for it here on MFP; search for it, and you should be able to find it. Lots of great information there...

I think it's a great book. I started the program but didn't finish because I decided I wanted something more focused on body building rather than fat loss and strength gain.

I am doing the last session right now. Very happy with the results. I have to say that in the last 6 months, I have lost exactly 0 lbs LOL. But my body shape is vastly different.

Yanicka, if the OP sees your profile pic she will get the book. (:

I'm all for that, but that's an inspiration pic & not you, right? (You are also a hottie, though, for the record.)

OP: I like the book. I don't know that it will provide you with earth shattering new information, but what it does provide is solid strength training workouts for many months. If you're looking to expand your knowledge, likely not the place. Looking for a structured routine for heavy lifting? Ya, thumbs up.

Oh yes, my avatar pic is not me. I take her out from time to time to remember why I am working so hard LOL.
