As a fulltime college student who works, it's not easy finding time to myself. Thus, I have let myself go and gained a whole bunch of weight, always making the excuse that I didn't have time to workout! As the pounds kept increasing, I didn't seem to notice. Until one day, the scale said something I'd never imagine it would.

As a result the of the weight gain, I've lost my self confidence. I used to be somewhat outgoing and confident. Now I'm shy upon first meeting someone and always want to hide. Being a fashionable person its so frustrating to try on and buy clothes for my size that are fashionable yet flattering. I dread trying on clothes because I know they won't look/fit how I want them to.

Finally, at almost 22 years old. I'm sick and tired of the weight, having no energy, not feeling comfortable in my own skin and having no self confidence. I've decided by this summer I want to transform into that girl I once was. I miss "Me" and I want "Me" back!

For all of you who have lost yourself as well, know that losing weight and eating right can be a challenge, but you will adapt. You can eat some of those foods you want, you just can't eat as much of it. Dieting doesn't mean eating only vegetables and fruits for 3 months.

As for me, being a college student with only a few minutes inbetween classes for lunch it's hard not to drive to Mcdonald's or Taco Bell and eat something quick (which you can still do, just do some research on what is lower in calories and compensate so you have enough calories left for dinner and snacks)

I'm also doing the Jillian Michael's exercise videos which really work! I can feel it after each time, and the best part is, the 30 day shred workouts are only 20 minutes! Everyone has at least 20 minutes in their busy day for a workout!

In closing, here's to everyone trying hard to loseweight. I hope you meet your goal and feel great about yourself! I look forward to meeting my goal and feeling happy once again. Don't give up, seek support, and keep trying even when it seems you're at a standstill! It's time to get "ourselves" back! :)
