I feel like I'm cheating...

So I started the 30 Day Shred yesterday... and it was BRUTAL! But, I committed to it and I have every intention of sticking to it... I NEED the results! The only major negative was how sore my knees were after and the next day. I am not a 'little' girl and don't want to blow out my knees, but don't want to short-change the workout either. The only way I'm going to get real results is with real work. That's the dilemma for me.
I saw on a thread about 30DS that people were suggesting using a mini-trampoline/rebounder for the jumping jacks, jumping rope, etc. cardio exercises that put a lot of stress on the knees. I went out and bought one. I just finished 30DS day 2 and finished the workout, was drenched in sweat and knees feel much better. I just feel a little guilty that I'm not using the floor but I feel like I did 5x better today than yesterday.
Anyway, not a mind-boggling situation, just needed to express my feelings! LOL Hope you all had a wonderful day!

I completely understand. I began to have knee pain soon after starting 30DS as well...so I get what you mean. I have just swapped out the high-impact cardio (like the jumping jacks and butt kicks) for lower impact cardio I learned in my Tae Bo Cardio workout video. As long as you feel like you're working your muscles, you're not cheating! It's better to be safe than sorry!0

Thanks! I appreciate it! I'm even getting ready to start another short workout (10 minutes) that usually beats me up pretty good... and some extra push ups... just to 'even things out'. LOL0

I have been doing some of the biggest loser dvd's and I have to modify all jumping exercises as well. Don't beat yourself up. I think it's fine to do a modified version! Keep up the good work0

It's NOT cheating. It's being sensible and knowing your body's limitations.0

Thanks everyone! I feel so sore today... something has to be working! But at least this time it's not the knees. LOL0
