Guar Gum smoothies.

As I don't get enough protein in my diet and my constant hungry feeling, I have been drinking '100% Bulk Nutrients Pure Protein Whey powder'. It's got virtually no carbohydrates and very high in protein content.. I have the vanilla flavour so I can easily add fruit to make a smoothie, though I tend to use water, and even though I put a lot of fruit, it's still watery, thin and lack lustre! I cant stand watery or thin smoothies/milkshakes!

I have just tried Guar Gum! It is a thickening agent for foods and gluten free. Just half a tea spoon in my smoothie (250ml water, three strawberries, half a kiwi and half a banana) and this baby is thicker than yoghurt! I literally had to use a spoon, so next time I'll use a little less guar gum powder.. but all in all, I thought I'd give the suggestion to everyone, that rather than using ice cream, milk, cream, yoghurt etc, use a dash of guar gum with WATER for a healthier smoothie :)
