Hi! My name's Georgia. ( Gee )

I decided to join because I've been trying to loose weight in so many ways and not budged the scales. Or when I do, they only stay that way for a few months.

My diet history:

I'm a small girl, about 4ft 10. I have a hip condition that means my specialist keeps a good eye on my weight, as any weight gain is causing my hip harm. So I'm recommended to be about 6.5 stone - 7.5 stone. This might sound too small, but be assured, I have been 6.5 stone before and still had some pleasantly plumpness about me!

In the past I've gone as far as not to eat, for weeks at a time. Living on coffee and mints. This used to loose me a stone per week easily. But over time I have severely damaged my metabolism and lost muscle mass. I've done this 3 times now, lost 2-3 stone and each time put it on quicker than the last. Silly, silly, girl. What can I say, I was 19 and thought I was clever.

I have tried eating nothing but weight watchers foods, drinking nothing but slimfast, cardio ward NHS diets, starvation, detox diets, water retention pills, drinking 8 pints of water per day, etc. But none of these things any longer make me loose much more than a few lbs. And as soon as I go back to 'normal', its all back on and more.

I'm just looking to make some permanent changes. At 4ft 10 and 8.4 stone, I'm labelled healthy, but I can assure you I don't feel comfortable in my skin at all. I'm so desperate to loose weight, I go hungry most days just eating cereal and check the scales every morning.

Hopefully through this site I'll be able to monitor what I'm eating and know where I'm going wrong. And I can determine once and for all if I have a slow metabolism, or just make awful food choices!
