A co-worker is coming over today to exercise and we have both wanted to try turkey burger's. I would love to hear your favorite turkey burger recipe. THANKS!!!

  • Try Ann Burrell's (Food Channel) Asian Turkey Burgers. I made them a couple of days ago and they were fantastic. Leave off the bun and the cheese topping and they are only about 320 cal.

    1 lb turkey breast (ground)
    1 large egg (beaten)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or 3/4 cup panko)
    1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp onion powder
    1/2 tsp garlic powder
    1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
    5 slices bacon

Combine egg, worcestershire sauce, and spices together, add chicken, mix, then add breadcrumbs, mixing to an even consistency. Fashion into 5 burgers, wrapping a slice of bacon around each (fix with toothpick). Grill on medium hot grill (or broil) for 8 minutes per side.

    SO GOOD!!! ;-)

According to the FitnessPal recipe calculator:

207 Calories per burger, 10 Carbs, 3 fat, 26 protein, 1 sugar. I find I only need to eat one (one and a half if I am really hungry), as they are a fairly large burger.

roughly this... minus bacon; add some ketchup and/or honey garlic bbq sauce to keep things moist. and some shredded cheese in the burger if you can afford the cals. :)
