Making Good Decisions

Hello all,
My name is Gilles and I am relatively new to this site. A little over five years ago I beat drug addiction, in the process I gained about 100 pounds. I am not going to beat heroin only to die of a peperoni overdose! I travel into schools and do presentations called making good decisions. I cant go into schools and speak to kids about making good decisions when I am not doing that at the dinner table. I am open to accountability and friends encouraging me.

ABSOLUTELY~
You've Got Me...that's for sure..
I beat prescription pill addiction in 2003...and Cigarettes in 2004.
Bless you for helping others...
When I had my Nervous Breakdown in 2006, the only thing that pulled me out of it was doing Outreach for my church...
I realized I couldn't be a blessing to others if I was dead or high.
I love to love others...it's what I do.
If you ever need support or advice, someone to talk to....msg me...I'm there.
Blessings~

It takes a long time to put together all the ways our addictive personalities act out.
Food is a tough one, but it is the same thing as heroin, alcohol, pills, or other chemical addictions. It alters your brain chemistry, increases "feel-good" hormones, and keeps us occupied when troubling thoughts sneak in. It is a acceptable, even encouraged method of killing time with friends.
You've put your finger on yet another addiction you have to fight. It can kill you just as surely as heroin..
Good luck. The first step.......then the next.0 -
