What kind do you have? What do you like about it? How noisy is it?

I'm thinking of getting one but have no idea where to start, any info would be helpful!

It depends on your bike! I have an ancient pro-form, it's over 10 years, and I would say it's about a box fan on medium, I have to turn the tv up a litttle to compensate. My friend has a small one she got on amazon for $150 and it's really quiet.

I'm in the UK and got one just a few days ago.
It was £56 from Tesco (supermarket like Walmart if you're in the USA). It's a 'magnetic' type.. not sure how that works but it's SUPER quiet. It's not very accurate on calories though.. it says I burn around 700 odd in 20 mins - there is no way I burn that - my DD is 12 and goes slow.. she hit over 1000 in just over 30 mins tonight.. err don't think so! lol

But, it's great for time, easy to adjust the resistance and fits in a corner of our lounge lovely. Which means I'm busy watching TV while cycling.. I am doing transitions of speed and slightly slower / more comfortable pace to build up my stamina and enjoying it. :)
