So, I gained .8 lbs this week...meaning to stick with my goal I now need to lose 4.4 lbs by Friday. Any tips on how to accomplish this?

Stop worrying about .8 lbs probably water weight - it wouldn't be healthy to lose 4 pounds in a week - adjust the goal to 2 lbs this week and 2 next week and keep moving on. You can also remove 1 item like a soda or a juice from your diet and replace with 2 bottles of water - if you eat two pieces of bread in the morning make due with one and add an additional 30 minutes of exercise to your routine.0

A tiny gain like that is no biggie! Our weight fluctuates so much. It could be water.
I wouldn't set yourself up for failure. A 4 pound loss in one week is huge. I shoot for one pound a week and I feel like that is a reasonable goal.
Perhaps you can work REALLY hard for 2 weeks like the above poster suggested, and lose 2 pounds a week in a healthy manner. A one week set back is nothing in the long run0
