    ok, I'll just post it.

    Ingredients
2 bottles chilled dry red wine
    1 cup brandy
1 cup orange juice (I usually only use 1/2 cup or none at all for less calories and sugar)
1/4 cup superfine granulated sugar (I use agave nectar b/c it's less processed)
2 oranges, cut into thin rounds
2 Meyer lemons, cut into thin rounds
3 Key limes, cut into thin rounds
2 apples, cored and cut into 1/2-inch chunks
    cold club soda
    Directions
In a large pot or bowl, combine the wine, brandy, orange juice, and sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves. Add the orange, lemon, and lime slices, the apples and refrigerate until well chilled, about 1 hour. Remove from the refrigerator and splash of club soda to each glass.

*side note, I'll sub the fruit for whatever is in season...peaches, nectarines raspberries etc...and I usually cut the recipe in half...unless I'm having people over.

DH and I have a joke about "breakfast wine"

we went to Vegas, and we drank like crazed tourists. we ordered a bottle of Kendall Jackson blush (pink) wine with our room service dinner. well, I am a cheap date, so I passed out before the bottle could be opened. When we awoke, the next morning, it was still sitting in the ice bucket, and so we cracked it open and drank it for breakfast. We were catching a taxi to the airport in like half an hour, and so our choices were either drink it, or pay for it to go to waste.
Hence the term "breakfast wine". Hey- it happened in Vegas, so it's okay, right? :blushing:

    sangria to start
red meat grilled to sizzling perfection
hot tub for discussion on the finer points of euro-american relations
    pillow fight
then a nice game of checkers
