I am a lacto-ovo vegetarian and I eat organic healthy foods but sometimes I find I am way over on carbs and sodium and sometimes fats.. ( from olive oil, hummus, with flax chips, avocado etc.. not like I am eating crap food)

How can I lose weight if I am well under in my cals but wayyyyy over in carbs and sodium and sometimes sugars..???

...what if I am over in fats? I can still lose weight?

and if we can still lose weight why does all that matter then? why are we monitoring all those other things?.

  • If your calorie intake is less than your calorie expenditure, you will lose weight. You monitor those "other things" because they are necessary for good health. Ideally, the "average person" should aim for a balance. If you know yourself to be "carb sensitive", you might like to keep them a bit lower (and watch the source) in order to avoid cravings and binges.

Try not to over think it. As long as you are eating "clean" and keeping your calories within your range, you will lose.
