VENT -- ARRGH

So I went from private sector to the the government.. I believe in my work. I believe in the system.. but I swear to G*D if one more person says, "We have always done it that way" or says "NO" before I have completed my sentence on how to do things more efficiently (and trust me I have said this with kid gloves to start and eventually got more assertive) I am going to scream.... all of this comes in the midst of multiple ... by multiple, I mean at least three or four stories a week about how allegedly crooked our government is... all, while I am finding constant mismanaged accounts and collection on them..(so the news reports aren't difficult for me to believe plus I have access to verify... and well, I havent found any inconsistencies in the news reports) back to my regularly scheduled rant... incompetence is. not becuase they hired managers that were incapable but because we have supervisors by tenure. It has been going on for so long... and never corrected that I now have to deal with it.. and I am more than happy to... but days like this... make me want to scream. I am done now. Charged to run a solid 10-15 in the morning. Thanks for listening.

But, I agree. Tenure + laziness and no accountability = way too much incompetence.

I don't know that I could work in government. I would show up with attitude every day.
