Weight Goal - Another Newie Question

When setting my goals in MFP, I selected a 2 pound weight loss goal per week. So after I enter everything, why does it only calculate a 1.4 pound weight loss per week? I've tried changing my settings but I still only get 1.4 pounds. Thanks!

I had the same thing happen. I'm only guessing, but I think it's because having me lose more than 1.4 lbs/week would mean I'd go below 1200 calories/day which is the minimum they recommend.0

1200 is the low end for women. Below that it's hard to get the nutrients you need. It may be too much for you to expect 2 lbs per week-- how much do you have to lose? If you're close to your goal weight it might be more reasonable to set it to 1 lb.0
