Minimum calories per day

Hey people, so Ive been using the app for this site and recently, I tapped "Complete this diary entry" on the phone and I had this message saying I was eating too few calories and I needed at least 1200 calories a day or my body would go to starvation mode.
So my question is, would it be okay to eat that much calories but go BELOW the net calories from exercises.
An example to make this clear would be:
Eat 1450 calories that day
Do physical activities that burns 500 calories.
This would Net 950 calories that day, would this put my body into starvation mode or would it be okay because I still ate more than 1200 calories
I forgot to add this on but, whenever I did have this happen on my food diary, the message would stop showing, I just need further reassurance

You ate more than 1200 but burned 500.. does that equal 1200 to you? Doesn't to me.0
