I'm Karmyn, I just joined and have been enjoying reading everyones success stories. I have 4 children, and am a wedding photographer in Missouri. My fiance and I joined MFP just a few days ago, to help keep our diets in order. We have both struggled with this in the past, and are both wanting to lose some weight before our wedding in May! (I do not currently fit in my dress)
So far we are loving the site and realizing that although the things we were eating were mainly healthy, we were eating way too much! I have went up and down with my weight for years, but it used to never go above 135 or so, until about 3 years ago when I gained 31 lbs in a month. I was devastated! The doctor checked my thyroid and did bloodwork, and everything came back normal. She diagnosed me with depression (incorrect diagnosis) and put me on wellbutrin, which did nothing to help the weight. I have not been able to lose or keep off any weight since then, and have been to other doctors, who tell me it is my age (I am 30), or stress, or whatever they can think of because I think they honestly don't know.

I quit drinking soda 2 years ago, and started working out 3-4 times a week and watching what I ate, and nothing worked. I gave up after about a year, and have decided to try again. I want to look and feel my best on my wedding day. My fiance joined because he loves to work out, and when he bulks up on muscle, gains a little cushion to go with it, so would like to be able to keep track of calories as well to balance.

We are excited to be here and would love any support or advice!!!

Welcome!

Congratulations! We have a a xbox (no kinect) and wii system, but havent purchased the wii fit board yet, and most of the workout videos for it require the board. We just started Jillian Michaels 30 day shred today and boy did it kick my butt! My fiance works out 4 times a week already and is in so much better shape than me, and I swear I even heard him panting and grunting, although he acted pretty tough through it!
