New Scales, New Results, Old Records?

I have lost about 10 pounds in the last 4-5 weeks. Then I bought a Withings scale, and it weighs me about 3 pounds heavier than the old scale. I think the Withings is correct--the old scale's built-in (non-replaceable) batter was about to die.

I don't doubt my weight loss, and I don't doubt the Withings' accuracy.

My problem is my online records. Should I just enter the Withings (correct) weight, which will then make it appear I suddenly gained 3 pounds? I wish I could just go back and add a 3 pound correction to all my previous weights, which would preserve my record of progress and be accurate. But I don't think that's possible is it?

My current plan is simply not to enter any weight on my online records until by the Withings' reading I'm "down" to what I most recently recorded.

Anyone else have some wisdom on how to deal with your progress records when a new scale shows your results, though "relatively" correct, were not numerically accurate?

Funny, I'm not OCD about anything else in my life, but with my fitness records for some reason I like things to be exact!
