Eating a caloric surplus but not gaining weight!

hey guys I've been eating a good 3000 cals per day for the past 3 weeks and I've not gained anything! i workout 3 times a week 1 hour of resistance training. my activity level ain't super high or anything, apart from working out i walk a bit and thats it.
want to break the 160lbs mark soon ;(

    If you're not gaining weight, you're probably not actually eating a caloric surplus. You might be burning more per day than you think. It probably wouldn't hurt to see a doctor, though, just to be safe.

    not a fan of seeing doctors, i might just bump the cals to 3500 on workout days and see how it goes from there..... but according to my tdee i should be gaining at least 0.5-1lb a week at my current eating levels.
  • hmm...i've been way over my calories a fair bit lately too...so hoping i'm the same as you (not gaining size).
    for me it usually takes about 2 weeks for the weight gain to show!
  • It won't show in only 3 days, you'll have to eat this way for at least a week or two.

    He stated he's been eating 3000 cals for three weeks.
    I would try bumping it up a bit, but also checking with a doctor if you don't see a change in another week or so. What are you using to estimate your calorie burn?

    it's rather annoying, i think i'll just try 3300 and see how that goes..... becoming such an effort to get all my cals in ;(
