Just miserable.... ;-)

That my pants are falling off me. It's hard to walk with my hands full, as I have no means of pulling them up! My jeans officially look ridiculous on me - or so my BFF pronounced yesterday. OK, so I'm thrifty. I'm not going to run out and buy a new outfit in every size. I've lost 26 pounds now, and the jeans that were 'saran wrap tight', I can now slide them off without unbuttoning them! It feels so good to wear loose clothes all the time! So yes, I may have to break down and buy some jeans here pretty soon.

Fabulous miserable news! LOL. I get where you're coming from, although I havent had that problem yet. My decision was to pick up a couple pairs at a second hand store, and then once I have lost all the weight I want to, thats when I'll splurge on a new wardrobe! Thats going to be my reward for accomplishing my weight loss goal.0

That's great! Awesome job!
As much as I loved that my pants were too big on me, I also didn't like the fact that they were continuing to make me look bigger than I was, so I went to TJ Maxx/Kohl's/Old Navy/Target & places like that to get my "transitional jeans." That way I wasn't spending a ton but I was also enjoying the benefit of being in a better fitting pant.0 -
Awsome. I plan a trip to the church thrift shop when I get to that point. Will donate some clothing & get myself some "new" jeans. Usually only a couple dollars a pair.0

woo hoo! that's great!! I bought something called the magic button at CVS (I think). It works really great for making your pants smaller!0

My suggestion is if you still have more weight to lose go to a good will and by a cheap pair until you are the size you want to be good luck0 -
Don't buy new jeans if your not close to your goal. Go to a thrift store, you can find "transition jeans" and they are alot cheaper.0

Would it be ridiculous to suggest a belt?0
-
Congrats!0

Just buy yourself 1 really nice pair! You deserve it! X0

SO awesome! I can't wait to have the same problem!0

Awesome Job! I have been hitting the thrift shops ($8.99 for a new pair of CK jeans). When i reach my goal weight I will have a shopping spree.0

You can buy a pair of Walmart jeans for about $15, good enough to get to the next size. I'm not normally a Walmart advocate, as it seems everything I buy there breaks but when I need a pair of jeans for the in-between size, it's perfect.0

GREAT JOB!!!!0

Awesome! That is amazing! You could always go try on jeans, just to get roughly what size you are then go to Goodwill/Salvation Army, or Ebay to get some. Or even just got buy a couple pairs of Walmart/Family Dollar/Dollar Generals brand to tide you over! Great job though!0
-
excellent!!! My fave corduroy jeans are now too big even straight out of the dryer... 5 more lbs and I will be going thru the boxes that have been in the garage and seeing what fits. Then off to Goodwill or some such to donate the big 'uns and pick up some in-between ones!!0

Congrats!
My husband has the same problem.. I'm going to buy him some suspenders soon if he doesn't buy some new jeans!0 -

Congrats, that's awesome!! And I'm going to second the belt... I'm ridiculously frugal, and I really can't stand the idea of buying new jeans every time I drop a size -- and I plan to drop a couple yet! But a belt was a lifesaver - it means I can keep wearing jeans that were starting to slide off otherwise.0 -
Lol girl, get out there & get some pants!0

Poor you!0

I am new to this site (invited by a dear friend), but a few years ago I lost 30 pounds (now working on 30 more). I get what you are saying about the loose clothes. I wore my loose jeans like a badge of honor until I just had to get some new things for an upcoming vacation.
At that point I decided it really was "safe" to let go on my "big" clothes. I did however keep my biggest ever pair of jeans (stretch capris, actually,) my biggest ever t-shirt, and my biggest ever swimsuit. NOT because I think I'll ever need them again, but rather because I never want to forget what will happen if I let myself go again.
Just one more thing....if you think wearing loose jeans that were once nearly too small to button feels great, wait till you slide into a size you thought you'd never wear again. If you're like me you'll need a tissue...Enjoy!0 -
Congrats on your miserableness! Like others said, just belt it or buy some cheapies. I was trying to run on the treadmill the other day and my panties kept falling down. Oh, the joys of weight loss!0

I wish I could hit the thrift store, but at 5'10 inches, and a 35 or 36 inch inseam, I am highly unlikely to find some that fit. But, yeah, I gotta do something. It will be nice to have something that fits me better.
You know, it used to be that I'd wear jeans twice before washing, and they were so much more comfy on the 2nd day, as they'd stretch out a bit. Well now, I can't do a 2nd day. I have to dry them hot and shrink them up again! LOL!0 -
Well done! Just buy a good belt for now and go for the baggy look ...lol0
-
Congrats! Instead of buying new jeans, pull out some of your high school jeans. I did that recently and was pleasantly surprised when they fit again!0
