Just Started Working Out 1.5 Weeks Ago

Hi all,
I just joined a gym and started working out a week and a half ago. Didn't really do any consistent exercise before, so everything fitness-related is new to me! I've been trying to eat much healthier and track my calorie, fat, etc. intake, where before I didn't really think about it. I just graduated from college and had gained about 20 lbs at school. I want to get back to my pre-college weight of ~130lbs (I'm 22 years old, 5'9", and starting out at 150 lbs) and, in general, get fitter. The trainer at the gym said I have no muscle, so I want to change that! If anyone else just starting out (or not) wants to friend me, feel free, it would be good to compare progress and share advice with others.
Wish me luck

Best of luck to you! I am not new to fitness type stuff but I am new to MFP. Feel free to send a request my way if you need some support/motivation.0

I just started out a week ago too! I did some exercise a few months ago - water aerobics twice a week - but I'm trying to get to 4 or 5 days a week consistently. I'm not in very good shape, in terms of either strength or endurance. I joined two classes (water aerobics twice a week and cardio kickboxing twice a week) and I'm going to try to do something at least once on the weekend. I would love to get into a routine and find something that I enjoy doing! I want to ENJOY excercise, not just force myself to do it to lose weight, but I'm not there yet.
Let's see if we can both keep it up!! Feel free to add me!0
