trying to reduce weight

I am shankar from singapore. I just joined myfitnesspal to keep a track of my current weight (i am obese) and want to do exercise and cut down on fatty foods for weight reduction.

    good luck!! What is great about looking at caloric intake is that you are aware of what you are eating and don't want to waste calories when you have so few to waste. It is hard to manage when you are out at a restaurant and have no idea what is the caloric breakdown to what you eat. Forces you to measure out ( i bought a scale) what you think you might like to eat that day. Always good to plan ahead.

    When I was a kid I was reallly skinny, so I could eat what ever I wanted with out seeing any thing happen, then puberty happened and all a sudden I was 130 pounds. Being here will hopefully get me to 120.
