How many cals should you be burning in workouts?

For all those fitness people out there and successful people who are losing, how many calories should I be burning through working out a day? My polar F4 says I usually burn about 400 a day during my sessions. One day a week I burn 700 (plyo day). I know I only have 36lbs to lose so I burn a lot less than some people who have more to lose. But realistically for both health and weight loss how many calories should I be burning? (Oh and I am good about eating my exercise calories usually)

    I burn 400-500 calories 4 days a week and 700-800 calories the other 3 days. I eat between 1200-1400 calories a day and my weightloss has been 16.75 pounds in 12 weeks.

    Are you doing P90X? I 'only' burn about 540 those days.

    I burn in between 800-1100 calories a day, but I do instruct classes, I eat 1400-1800 calories a day,
    and I don't eat back my exercise calories! :tongue:

    I'm on week 5, day 4 but I've been hit with a little stomach bug. No appetite, but I'm actually starting to get hungry now so maybe I'll be able to do yoga tonight.
