Any vegetarians?

Anyone a vegetarian? Was wondering what your daily meals might look like? I have been thinking about doing so myself for many different reasons and was curious what a typical day might be for those who do it or any good recipes you might have to offer.

Feel free to add me or take a look at my diary. I'm vegan, so I don't eat dairy or eggs either. I still keep it pretty balanced!0

Thanks. What made you decide to become vegan? Just curious.0 -
Hi
I am a vegetarian. Some suggestions a bowl of watermelons about 15 minutes before a meal. Start the meal with a clear soup and a vegetable salad with a light dressing. Both help reduce food intake.
Try them out and see the difference.

As for diet, I try my best to keep it balanced... I know I need to increase the fruits/veggies... I try...0 -
I've been vegetarian for around two years. I started out eating very similar to how I did before but replaced the meat with things like quorn. I now also try my best to eat more things like tofu, beans, lentils, fruit and veg.0

Another vegan here! Feel free to add me and look at my diary. I'm at college now, so I eat at the cafeteria, but my cafeteria has a lot of vegan stuff.0

I've also gone vegan recently, and I'm working on finding recipes/food that is vegan and NOT junk. It's a work in progress. If you google Engine 2 diet, there's a website related to the Forks Over Knives movie that has a lot of recipes. Good luck!0

I'm a vegetarian, so feel free to add me or take a look at my diary (the past couple of days I've been bad and gone out to eat, though, haha. So those aren't the best meals).0

I was vegetarian for years before my second children. I developed hypoglycemia and had to seriously up my protein intake. My husband was vegan, but terrible at it. All he ate was starch and he ballooned up 100 lbs. Fattest vegan you ever saw LOL. He lost all the weight when he added the dairy back, and started to ride his bike seriously again. I also do quorn, very tatsy and you wont miss the meat. Lentils, beans, tofu. Definitely read the vegan source book and yes I know, vegetarian for dummies. I"m only on chicken now, and I get everything I need. To get there we weaned ourselves off meat slowly. First pork was gone because we just didn't like it, then red meat, turkey, then chicken.0 -

Well, I was already a vegetarian for animal rights, environmental, health, and other reasons. I just decided after reading Alicia Silverstone's "The Kind Diet" to make the full leap and try it out for awhile. I found that it was actually very easy for me at home and at school, so I continued it! I've been vegan for about 6 months (minus a few cheat days when I had creamy mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving or a cookie at some point). I don't think I'll be vegan forever--I'm just taking it as far as I feel like it--but I am confident that I will NEVER eat meat again. Fish, maybe. Not now, though. At some point I think my love of yogurt and cottage cheese will draw me back to being just plain vegetarian again.0
