Does it really matter if I eat "too much" protein?

Sorry if there's already a post about this, but I couldn't find one.
According to my food diary, I eat more protein than my daily goal. But is it really bad for me if I eat more protein, as long as I eat "normal", healthy food? And it doesn't say I eat too many carbs or fat, it's just protein.

If you have healthy kidneys, don't worry about it. MFP also gives you a ridiculously low protein allowance; I generally eat over 100 grams every day.0

Thanks for the reply
Last time I checked, all my organs were healthy and normal, and I definetely want to add muscles, so I'll keep eating lots of protein.0 -
I eat about 160grams of protein per day. I eat 1gram of protein per pound of lean body mass. It is really hard to just get that much protein from food so I have to eat to shakes a day to get to my level. So I would not worry to much about it unless you are eating protein shakes as well!0
