Logging daily activities?

Do you guys log abnormal daily activities as exercise?
My GF and I just started MFP. We've both dropped a couple of pounds and have had our fair share of cheat days. We both have desk jobs though I tend to take frequent walks at work because I cannot sit still for more than two hours without "making the rounds."
We live in a 3-story house. On some weekends we do chores that require 5-10 trips from basement to third floor. Some days we run errands that require lots of walking. We don't want to change our profile to a more active job, but "going upstairs to get clean sheets" isn't in the exercise database.
We also tend to cheat more on weekends--going to the breakfast buffet, going out for dinner/movie. So, I'd like to be able to not feel bad about eating a few more calories since I'm sure my chores/honey-do's are burning most of them off.
Thanks in advance for the good advice!

Hmm, stairs would be hard to log. But going for walks, just keep track of how long you walk for in a day, say 3 5 minutes walks, then log 15 min at whatever pace you think is appropriate. If you're loosing then I wouldn't worry about it too much, but if you start stalling, then I'd be better at cheat days and logging activity. Just my two cents!0

I thought about getting a Heart Rate Monitor and using it all day to see the range of calories I burn from sedentary to active days. Am I being OCD?
I want to lose and I want to do it in a healthy way. I guess I'm just scared of losing too fast....is that possible?0 -
Personally, I don't log things like that. I figure either A) it's already calculated in my daily calories, maybe not every day but over the week, or I'm better off underestimating exercise and overestimating eating.0

I used to log that stuff, but I only log it now if I actually break a sweat. There is a Housework entry in the cardio. Like days that I scrub the floors I'll log because it's seriously as much of a workout as my shorter gym days.0
