No change in Pics. :(

I took pictures of myself in underwear before I started losing weight and thought this would act as a motivation when I could see progress over time. I've lost 8lbs on the scale since the first pictures and thought I'd take a few more tonight. I don't see any change. In fact, if anything, I look fatter in the new pics than I did in the old ones.

I know 8lbs isn't a huge amount to be seeing a difference, but since I need to lose about 48lbs maximum, I thought that I'd see a very, very small difference, at least. Certainly didn't expect to look bigger in the new pics!

Just having a moan, I guess but it has got me down :(

I'm almost 20 lbs down but haven't yet noticed a difference. Don't worry, be patient.

I've lost 33ish lbs & haven't seen a difference in pictures, clothes are barely fitting different. Went from 5'3 170 to 136.2. Very discouraging.

    I wouldn't expect a change at only 8lbs.

don't worry things adjust as your weight changes, and I know I really didn't start to "see" changes in my body or things fitting till about 15 pounds

I'd say just keep doing the things you have been doing since it's working and keep going, you will see it soon whether it be someone says something or how things fit, or just the fact you can walk farther or without getting winded etc :)

Good luck and you can always ask your MFP friends for encouragement if you aren't feeling like all the work is worth it.

wait till you get to ten pounds then take the pic...did you take the pic urself cause it doesnt work right if you do..inless you take it in the mirror i always ask someone to take it for me...and you should post them here, sometimes you cant tell your losing weight cause it doesnt look like it to you but other people can tell ive seen post like that before.

Guess I shouldn't complain since some of you guys have had massive losses with no change, yet.

I think I'm feeling down because I lost about a stone two years ago (went from 12 down to 11) and noticed a big difference in myself at 11. Doing the same thing this time, going from just under 12, down to 11 and although I'm not at 11 yet, I'm not hugely far off it, either, so I was expecting to feel slimmer and better about myself like I did the last time. :(

I have lost 15lbs and I feel like the only thing that looks different is my face!
  • I only take pics every 20 lbs. You should see a difference then.

Yeah, LiviLou, took them myself but in a mirror. I guess I just have to be patient a while longer. I've only got about 3 and a half stone to lose so I feel like I should be seeing a difference at half a stone since I don't have tonnes to lose but oh well, I'll just have to suck it up and keep trying.

Patience is a virtue, eventually you will see change :) Just keep pushing through! There will be change :D
  • I was well within my BMI before I started losing weight. I am just now noticing a difference and have lost 13 out of 20 pounds. It takes times for a difference to be apparent. Just think, if you lose 8 pounds, that is from ALL over your body. Stomach, neck, back, arms, legs, etc. Keep up the good work and it will pay off!!

I'm beginning to wonder if the only place it has came off is my eyelids and internal organs! lol.
