MFP shows that if I intake 1200calories a day, I should lose 0.7lbs/week.(with no exercise). But when I add exercise,it doesn't show the projected weight change. It still shows 0.7lbs/week.

I am trying to figure out how many calories to burn in order to lose 2lbs/ week and I am unable to see that here. Perhaps I need to burn 750 calories/ day.

Any idea?Any one?

with the amount of weight you have to lose, i would suggest 0.5 or one pound a week loss.. 2 lbs is really more for people who have 75+ pounds to lose.
that said, mfp wont set your calories lower than 1200...its generally accepted thats the lowest amount you should eat and still be able to function properly. when you add exercise to your goals, it doesnt change your projected loss because you havent actually done the exercise, its more just a goal for yourself. once you do the exercise, it will give you more calories to eat so that your deficit doesnt get too big.

Thank you !! Now I understand why it doesn't change the projected weight. Seems like if I burn 500 calories a day,I can lose 2 lbs per week. Let's see how much I can manage.Even 1 hour of workout doesn't burn that many calories
