Do you get chocolate cravings... especially at that time of the month? I get them too.... BAD! A few things that got me through (last week!)...
Skinny Cow brand ice cream ... the mint truffle bars are yummy and the ice cream sandwiches too...
Kelloggs Fiber PLUS (fiber one are gross!) chocolate almond or caramel coconut bars.
3-2-1 cake.. take a box of angel food cake mix and a box of devils food cake mix and pour them into a gallon size freezer bag... shake til thoroughly mixed. Then when you have a craving... 3 Tbsp mix, 2 Tbsp water, and 1 minute in the microwave... walah you have your own mini cake. Top with a squirt of fat free whipped cream:) 116 cal, 27 carb, 2 fat, 2 protein, 240 sodium.
mini chocolate cream pie - take 1 whole grain freezer waffle, toast it... put one container of sugar free chocolate pudding on top, then top with a good size squirt of fat free whipped cream.... sounds funny but is reallllllly yummy!
Swiss Miss diet hot chocolate.. only 25 calories and has 30% DV of calcium! Top with the fat free whipped cream and then sprinkle some cinnamon on top. Yummy treat!
Hope these help!

Those are good!! If I am desperate I always turn to my Jello dark chocolate sugar free pudding (60 cals) or a Fiber One brownie (90 cals) - either one of those sure do satisfy a craving for minimal damage.0

Try sugar free hot cocoa and sugar free puddings0

I don't get cravings necessarily for chocolate, I just want to eat everything in site. I am ravenous and nothing stops it. Usually once I realize it, I check my calender and yep...it's about five or six days out from that time of the month.
I usually will let myself eat SOME of the junk until I am satisfied, because it's a lot more torturous trying to tough it out.
I loveee the Chili Dark Chocolate bars. Spicy, and I love dark chocolate.0 -
Thanks for the tips! they will def come in Handy!0

I get them and I ignore them. I love the feeling of satisfaction I get when the craving is gone without me caving.
EDIT: Skinny Cow products are friggin' awesome though.0 -
Yep I am the same exact way. Thanks for the great ideas. I heard the vitabrownies are supposed to be good too and nutritious!!:happy:0

Don't know about cycles and such, but cravings?
YES!
I have boxes of Special K protein bars - all flavors.
It's not a cure all, but it sure beats the alternatives.0 -
I go for Alternative Baking Company chocolate cookies. They are free of eggs, milk, and gluten but super dense so about a quater-half of one leaves you feeling satisfied and full for little calories. It a great on the go snack too.0

I so crave chocolate (and anything else sweet) that time of the month too. I usually just pop a piece of Dove dark chocolate into my mouth and I'm good! (for the 2 minutes it takes to eat it!)
There are some good ones...I'm def gonna have to try to chocolate pudding on the toaster waffle!
Thank you! :flowerforyou:0 -
bump for later!

if anyone lives in/around NYC (or can order it on web, dunno how much shipping would be though) try Vega Diva's 'chocolate mousse'...it tastes sinfully rich, chocolatey and decedent~ yet is made from tofu hence only has 42 cals a container!
they are vegan, organic, low-cal, high fiber, kosher, parve, blah blah...but mostly they are amazing. a simply delightful way to make it through that TOM's chocolate cravings.
you can freeze them too and spend an hour in chocolate land eating the frozen one.
ps. i had to call company to verify cause i just could not believe that something that tasted soooooo decadent could only be 42 cals, but it is true.0 -
OMG! I so understand the Chocolate craving! I'm also thankful for those 100 cal snack packs that include chocolate!0
