MFP logs my calories burned by cardio but it doesn't show any burned for lifting weights, crunches or using machines. I know it's silly but I am burning calories while doing those exercises too right? Why doesn't MFP log them or at least give me a chance to log them?

Log them as cardio, but search for strength training.

The strength training section is more for logging your routines... weight/reps/sets, etc. Not for tracking burned cals.
