When I was fitted for a bridesmaid dress, it had to be taken in a size because I had lost 10 pounds. The lady fitting me said that about 10 pounds is a size difference. I'm not sure if this is comparable to jeans and other stuff though.0

I've heard people say that too: ten pounds is a size. But I've never experienced that myself. It seems more like 15-20 before I can go down a size. Since weight isn't the only measurement to take into account, it probably varies a lot.0

It took me 30 lb to get from a 14 to 12, then 20 to get from 12 to 6-8...weird
similar results here. i've lost 15lbs and i'm still a 16. over the past few years i've gone from 180-220 and STAYED a size 16. 18 was too lose, 14 too tight. so the 10 pound a size does not ring true for me whatsoever.0 -
Years ago when I was very successful on weight watchers I need 20 pounds to go each size. Grand total I lost 60 pounds but went from a 16 to a 12ish. I think everyone is different.0

I lost 48 lbs and went from a 12 to a 4. So 10 lbs sounds about right.0
