I'm 19. I am a full time student. Haven't posted a message ever on anything before but after reading a few, I feel like losing weight with people who share my struggles will be extremely beneficial, motivational and maybe even fun.

over-eat when dealing with any type of emotion: anger, happiness, sadness, stress*
*I crazy over-eat when I am stressed. Like the end of the world is near and I have to stock up on food and chai. (Usually before a quiz/test/exam/presentation. Or basically when anything is due.)

I am the type of person who can handle intense workouts but when it comes to nutrition, I lose control. Like eating non-stop for two hours out of control.

I don't eat too much junk food; it's mainly rice, potatoes, chicken and fish but way too much of it. Last week I had a total of 17 plates of white rice with some type of dish (pretty oily) that you eat with rice (butter chicken, spinach and potatoes). I know, it sounds ridiculous. IT IS.

Almost all of the food I eat is home-made ( My mom is a traditional Pakistani mom and she makes oily, masala dishes that we usually eat with, you guessed it, rice.) So it is hard to keep track of calories because so many weird ingredients go into the dishes. I'm trying to eat foods and snacks that have nutritional labels but they tend to be junk foods.

All of my friends are skinny and I don't really feel that they understand how important it is for me to lose weight. If I text one of them stressing out about how I just ate 3 plates of rice with 5 pieces of chicken, they'll reply with an "LOL. fail" I'm usually not laughing.

Also, this time (one of the hundreds of times), I am not telling my friends that I'm trying to lose weight because for some odd reason they always seem to give me negative advice (which doesn't really make it advice.) "Like, have more cookies, you're over-reacting."

So I'm looking for some new friends who are going through the same thing, who want to lose weight and are motivational. I am very interested in hearing new tips and ideas on how to lose weight and keep it off.

Sorry for writing an essay, I'm really into this right now lol.
