Help for my mother....

Okay, so, I'm not asking this for me but for my mom. She's a few years over 60, she has a total knee replacement in one knee, and a spinal cord simulator. I'm wondering what kind of exercises she could do. My whole family is severely overweight with a minimum of about 60lbs to lose per person. I'm less worried about my dad and I who have the energy to get up and get out and exercise but my mother struggles to get up. I'm looking for low impact exercises that she could do throughout the day. Help?

This sounds like a questions to pose for a physical therapist, especialy since she's had knee surgery. I don't know what a spinal simulator is.
I'd ask her doctor, physical therapist, etc. for advice here. It'll be out of the norm for most people here.0
