Pain in legs - help please?

Hi guys,

I had a gym session on Friday where I ran pretty much continuously for 45 minutes, with occasional walking breaks.
On Saturday morning I woke up with pain in my calf muscles, they felt kind of tight and stiff. I rested all weekend and when I got back on the treadmill today my calf muscles were once again stinging with pain about 10 minutes in and I was forced to stop running, even when walking they were incredibly sore.

Any ideas what's up? Or how to remedy this? I thought they were just tired from a long run but this week is the week I plan on starting up regular gym sessions again so I'd hate to have to stop working out!
