Ladies, I need some clothing suggestions for an event!

So at the end of the month I've got a 10 year reunion coming up! It is a casual setting. These are people that were part of a intensive short term 4 month study that I participated in(kind of hard to explain). Suffice to say I'm really excited and very happy to see these people that I haven't seen in so long, and getting caught up.

That said, I am struggling to find an outfit! I don't want to look like I'm trying too hard or be overdressed (in that sense, I think a dress is out) but am thinking maybe along the lines of a great pair of jeans and a nice blouse...or....ugh, I don't know?!?!?!

I love polka dots, patterns, retro inspired type of stuff, but would just love some tips on what you would recommend I wear. Obviously I want to look nice but this isn't about "showing up" anyone or showing off my weight loss. (I just say that because if this were say, a high school reunion I'd be thinking quite differently, haha!) Anyone got any tips, advice? Thanks!

Well, I guess a dress is not 100% out..I just do not want to feel overdressed! The event is totally casual. Norwegians are VERY casual. It is ice cold in the middle of winter here I love all colors except orange and yellow on me. No budget really, I'm open to anything. Well, under $200 I guess.

Aww, I love Mod Cloth but I am not quite down in weight enough to fit most of their stuff. I know they have some plus size stuff but it tends to be fancy. I'm a 16 on top 18 on bottom.

Jeans dark or slacks, print blouse , and taylored jacket. These things look great on L-S sizes and will help you feel confident while you work towards your goals. Plus tasetefull jewerly and closed toe shoes.

I am a pinterest junkie as well and see lots of cute combos all the time! Dark denim with a cute blouse and a blazer (or sweater), is always a safe bet. However, I look for any reason to wear a dress and feel as though you can always dress it up or dress it down. If all else fails, ACCESSORIZE!!!
