ok so I've been hitting the gym for about 2 months, up to 6 times a week. I do cardio (10 minutes minimum) and weights. I just picked up the jillian micheals ripped dvd and would like to incorporate it into my workout. Typically monday- thursday I do the gym at lunch at work (I work on a military base where there is a fantastic gym!) Friday- Sunday I workout in our basement where we have tonnes of equipment and free weights. My rest day varies depending on our schedule. I have two young children so time is a bit of an issue. Despite the fact that hubby is very supportive. So my question is this, do I try and do the dvd on top of what I'm already doing, if I were to do this it would likely be at home in the evening, instead of, or half and half? Like do it 3-4 times a week and do each stage for 2 weeks, would that work? Advice please!

If time is an issue, then I'd swap something out for the DVD - Ripped in 30 is about 30 minutes with the warm up & cool down, and packs a good punch into that time. Try it and see if you like the workout and how it compares with what you're already doing - if you get as good or a better burn with the DVD, then do that. If you have time (and energy!) to add it to your current routine, go for it. Or alternate, to keep things interesting.

I love Jillian's workouts because they are great for getting a good workout in a short amount of time - great for busy days!

I just started Ripped in 30 today and plan on doing it in addition to my regular workout by getting up a half hour earlier to complete the dvd . . . And continue my normal routine throughout the day (running, walking, etc).
