Eating more protein and burning fat

I definitely need to cut back on carbs and incorporate more protein. I get my protein from the normal sources-milk, dairy, beans, whole grains but I feel like I'm not getting enough. I'm trying to lose fat and gain more muscle. I've been doing a work out program for a month now and I haven't noticed any weight difference however I have gained more muscle.

My problem is, I don't feel like I'm burning any fat! Does anybody have any suggestions on protein sources or suggestions overall about fat burning??
