Hi. I'm Crystal. I'm brand new. I'm married and 23 years old. I've been a member here for a while, but I just started keeping track truly in the last 3 weeks. When I was in High School, I was in Show Choir, so I was singing/dancing for 40 minutes 5 days per week. I didn't have a "dancer's body" per se, but I was decent, maybe 175 to 180. I signed up when I went to the doctor and she told me I needed to make a change. That was at 220. I hit 230 3 weeks ago, gaining a total of 50 pounds in less than 5 years. That night, I took my bum to the gym and signed a 1 year contract. That way, I'm committed for a year and that money will be taken out of my checking account whether I go or not, so that's my motivation to go. I started kickboxing and I lift weights twice a week with a friend at the gym. Tonight I'm trying Zumba. So, now I'm at 223. I've lost 7 pounds in the last 3 weeks. So, according to my ticker I haven't lost any weight yet, but in my heart, I've lost 7 pounds in 3 weeks! So, I'm going to make some friends and try to stay up on the message boards. That's me in a nutshell.

I'm buying a bridesmaid dress on Monday for a cousin's wedding in June. My goal #1 is to have to have the dress taken in before the wedding.0

Great work, Crystal!
I'm new here, too. I'm doing the old Flex Points Weight Watchers at home which always works well for me, but I always quit when I lose 20 pounds and I need to lose 85 total. I've lost 5 pounds since starting back Monday before last., I like to think of that as I lost a 5 pound bag of potatoes. When I realize I've been carrying around 17 bags of potatoes everywhere It kind of puts it into perspective. I'd have a hard time carrying one actual bag of potatoes around all day, let alone 17. I like to use myfitnesspal to make sure my calories, carbs, fats and proteins are in range for my daily eating plan and find it helpful in planning what I will eat for the day in advance and I can make adjustments if I have too much or too little of something. I also like the weight tracking report as it really shows the progress you are making. I'm sure you've already noticed how much better you feel, how much more alert you are and all of the other benefits. And just think, you've already lost a 5 pound bag of potatoes + 2 pounds of butter! Stay motivated, girl, you're really on your way now.0 -
