Lost around 3.5 stone but have put on 7 lb in 6 months after

So I lost 3.5 stone in about a year. Last September I started a new job, Christmas struck and I have gained 7lbs. I really want to sort this now. Since starting my new job I have not had time for exercise like I did before either and I do not get to walk as much.

My question is, would it be ok to focus on my eating first say for a fortnight and then bring in exercise again. Really want to lose 10lbs and get my body looking better for the summer! Really enjoyed it before was exercising 5 times per week around 1.5 - 2 hours a time but my new job just does not permit, well for this year anyway due to increased workload!

Is 7lbs an awful lot to gain in 6 months? I really want to sort it now so that It doesnt creep back, I darent measure my body fat% I was down to 22% - I think it strated at 36%.
