Carb Addiction

Does anybody have any advice on how to kick a life long carb addiction? It's actually sad I'm prone to headaches (though since I've started working out they've been a lot less often :) ) and the only way to cure them along with painkillers is a shot of caffeine and heavy carbs (like a bagel), sometimes I think that maybe it's the lack of carbs that give me the headache. For the most part I LOVE my veggies and fruit and I try to have salad with some protein as a main meal but I always have that carb craving wanting more (I could seriously eat KD and hotdogs for life given the option). I know it's going to be a hard one to kick, when I was younger my parents were very busy professionals and we lived on a diet of fast food, kd, alphaghetti, and snack packs, but I'm 27 now and it's time to kick the habit. I've read the Dr. Oz carb addiction challenge but it didn't offer a lot of advice for things to curb the actual cravings, I've heard that vitamin B and multivitamins can help, are there any other tips anybody can share with me? Thanks!

The purpose of phase one on the South Beach plan is to get rid of your sweet and starch cravings. You can check it out on their website or from their books.

hey im the same, i am a complete carb junkie!!! I stil eat my carbs but iv cut them down, for instance today i had a spaghetti carbonara, i dont normally measure out my spaghetti but i now measure out half a portion and i had extra meat (normally only have a bit of bacon or ham, today i added chicken as well) to bulk the calories back up and keep me full. I cud never ever cut out carbs, they r a massive part of my diet but having them as one of my trackers helps me to keep them below my limits (40% of my calorie intake). If you want to take a look at my food diary feel free to add me
