Hi everyone I just started MFP 2/01/12. I was doing Weight Watchers but wasn't seeing the progress I feel I should have been, since I have been doing it for three months.indifferent: . So I found this site and am loving it.. My problem is I am eating what I should be in calories, but my weight isn't changing. Now even though I just started with MFP I have been working out for about a month. I am doing 45 minutes a night on the treadmill at a speed of 3.0 without incline. I have noticed I am dropping inches from my stomach area but am confused why my weight isnt going down. Does anyone have any advice for me I am starting to get frustrated. :grumble:

Muscle is replacing the fat. So the scale will not be your friend for the first month or so. Just concentrate on the inches and continue what you are doing. You haven't been at it very long so don't let it get you down so soon. Weigh yourself once a week or so, keep measuring and in thirty days you should see some progress. Welcome to MFP.0

Building muscle which weighs more than fat is good, because eventurally that muscle is whats going to help you burn more fat. I get discouraged too, I think we all do. But keep posting here and find the support you need to move forward. Never give up!0
