Hi guys!
Im new on this. I want to introduce myself to find new friends and get extra support to achive my fat loss goal.
I have been chubby all my life, (fortunately the kind of muscular and strong big guy) Im from Mexico, Male, 38, 227 pounds, 5´9.
4 years ago I was around 240 lb (my heaviest ever), and I decide to start the body for life program, ordered the book online and after 3-5 months of hard training and having almost a military discipline I could lose weight to 198 lb, also I become reasonably muscular and strong and my waist dropped from 38 to 33-34. My endurance was also very good.
However, 3 years ago, I started to relax and slowly started gaining weight (also influenced by work stress), my workout became very intermittent (mainly only weight training) and totally stopped doing cardio,
6 months ago I went to the doctor and I found my self to be high in sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, etc. So I decided to star again, and now I am 100% committed to start a workout program.
10 days ago I bought the Insanity workout DVDs. Although I was told it was very hard and recommended only for people who had ALREADY very good physical endurance, I decided to start and not give up.
I already completed day 8, it is very hard but I have managed to almost complete all the workouts without taking too many breaks. My physical endurance has becoming better day by day.
However, after a rapid drop of weight (around 5 lb) during the first 3 days. I stepped onto the scale today and find that I weight exactly the same than the 1st day. I became kind of disappointed, but i kind of feel that i have started losing a few inches around my waist. To be honest I am a little paranoid of carbs and I have been following the Insanity Diet plan, instead, although I was eating extremely healthy, the portions I were eating were to small, (less than 1000 cal a day). Surfing on the web I read about people with similar problems, and I decided to increase my caloric intake to around 2000 cal per day and start eating complex carbs.
Thats why I decided to open MFP account to track all the calories i eat per day (in 6 small meals per day). Im trying to start eating carbs again. I will try that new diet give me better results.
Nice to meet you all guys!
