Hello all!

I will be no doubt looking for advice from some of you so thought i would introduce myself first!

After being fairly fit and healthy during school and university, I've yoyo'd quite a lot in recent years and am now at my heaviest (6" 2' - 125kg). Turning 30 has made me supermotivated as i'm really worried about my health in the future so i'm hoping myfitnesspal will work for me. Logging everything definitely works as if you can see what you're doing, it will no doubt motivate you. I live in Asia, so i might have some trouble logging some of the foods i eat, but it's a start and a good place to get food and exercise down!

Right, that's me!

Dean.

Me too, just joined today. The site is pretty impressive, and I'm astounded how quickly the calories add up. Sometimes I wonder if the whole western world has lost it's sense of portion size. I've just turned 50 and still struggling with going up 5 pounds, losing 4, then gaining another 6 or 7 .... which has eventually resulted in me being 40lbs overweight with a fat percentage of 45%. I'm starting strength training/muscle building which along with the calorie tracking will hopefully end the yoyo cycle. Good Luck with your journey.
