Valentines... ladies your input please
Valentines this year is on a week day.....
I'm thinking of sending my girlfriend flowers to her work. She works in a large open plan office. Is this a nice gesture or something that will make her embarrassed/awkward?
I wasnt thinking a massive bunch of flowers just something simple.
Thoughts please?

I would love that! It would embarrass her but it's a GREAT idea x
It would make her feel so special xx0 -
Guess it depends on how she feels about her co-workers. Do they bug her? Does she dread having to talk to them about anything non-work related? I've asked my husband NOT to ever send me flowers at work again because I DON'T want to deal with them any more than I have to.0

She quite likes the team she works in and next to. I know there is one girl she doesnt get on with well buts its only one person.
Hmmm..... Not sure what to do!0 -
Personally I'd love that. She might feel a little embarrassed but she'll also feel so special. It's little things like that, that I think mean a lot. Go for it : )0

DO IT!! For years, girls in the offices I have worked in have had flowers delivered on valentines and I never have lol! I'd love that. Would make me feel super special xx0

Definitely send them! It is embarrassing but a good kind.0

I work with all men so would probably be a bit embarrassed but at the same time would feel really really special!! That nice kind of embarrassed lol x0

Attention is often both embarrassing and pleasing! i would say she would love it!0

I would hate that. None of us know your girlfriend so you're better off asking one of her friends/mum/sister etc instead of asking a bunch a strangers.0

Do it, but on practical note, chose an arrangement that comes in a vase. Keeping flowers in the toilet sink until home time is somewhat unglamorous!0

i would die with embaressment.... but thats just because i would never live it down in my work. x0

I think she will love it. I would.
just make sure they have a vase or come in one of those packets with water that stand so they wont dry out and wilt over the day!
And i think your idea of simple especially if you know of a flower she likes is great!
maybe a scented bunch.
Good luck and I hope she loves them!0 -
One year my husbad sent me flowers and a stuffed bear. I was a little embarressed and my co-workers teased me all but I smiled the whole rest of the day! I thought it was a romantic thing to do but I cant speak for your girlfriend.0

Mate it's a real nice idea, a special treat and one she should love. good on you for thinking of that. Her work mates will be jealous! te he0

I wouldn't be embarrassed at all! It would make me feel special. Can't imagine why anyone would feel embarrassed to get flowers in the workplace?!?0

Do it. Simple & romantic. She will love it! The only embarrassment she'll get will be a good type of embarrassment!0

same here. I would love it if my husband would sent me flowers0 -
I got flowers delivered to my work years ago, and it was so nice. Def do it, i would highly recommend it. Also, if she doesnt like some people, its kinda showing off, cos she got flowers!0

I LOVE getting flowers at work! However, I have told my husband if he EVER spends the money to send me flowers on Valentine's Day I'd kill him. They are just too expensive and I'd rather that money be spent on something more important than flowers. I'd much rather get flowers on a regular day just b/c he's thinking of me than on Valentine's Day when EVERYONE is getting them.0

Do it!!!! It'll make her feel great!0

I would love that, but from past experience I hated trying to get them home! The bigger they are the harder it is to carry them, especially if she has to ride public transportation. The one time my hubby did that, he showed at work just as I was getting off to help me take them home. I was more surprised by that then receiving the flowers!0

Flowers at work aren't simple and romantic, they're cliche and show a lack of imagination. If you really want to be romantic pick something more personal to her than a bunch of flowers. Unless, of course, she really loves flowers. Go nuts with it in that case.0

I'm shy and my husband always sends Valentine's Day flowers to my work. It's a little embarassing, and attracts a lot of attention, but it's also a secret thrill. The other ladies are always jealous. I think you should do it! Good luck! :smooched:0

Definately!!! make her day0
-
I say go for it! Especially considering she has a good rapport with her co-workers.
Happy Valentines Day0
