What do you use as goal rewards?

Hi everyone,

Psychologically speaking we all want to find some sort of pot of gold at the end of our rainbow. Fitness articles tell you to set goals, both short & long term.

What types of rewards have you found work the best?

I'm at a loss for ideas on what rewards to set for myself. I'm an avid reader so I buy books frequently. If I really want/need a massage my husband will set me up for one.

I'm not a girly girl so I don't really care about clothes or mani/pedis. (I will get them though to spend some quality girly time with my daughter.

So any suggestions for this reward challenged girl?

Thanks

I am an avid reader. The other day at the gym I told my boyfriend that when we were finished working out I wanted to go get a new book. He gave me a look and I just thought about it. I finally was like you know, I don't need it at the moment. I will wait to get it when I hit another fitness goal.

I also like getting new running shoes. I did that before as a goal. I've never been big about buying that type of shoe, but I need them for working out and it makes me get a little bit more excited about working out.

You might could do something like going on a hiking trip or some other healthy related short trip as a reward as well. I hope I helped give you some ideas.
