What would you suggest as the most important diet and nutrition tips? Or what have you found that works very well for you? (aside from eating unprocessed foods) This is not necessarily for me, more for informational purposes and for others on the site who haven't found something that works well for them yet and need some real life informative information! Thanks :)

    Portion control.
Get to know what's in what you eat
Don't try to achieve 100% accuracy - it's impossible. Accept sensible estimates.

Accept that what works for other people may not work for you and vice-versa. Get to know your body.
Get the proper amount of sleep.

You said aside from eating unprocessed foods......I have to ask why? Why not just eat unprocessed foods?

  • My favorite tip I've ever heard for if you're trying to start eating healthier, is to first focus on adding good foods, and not worry about cutting things out. Make getting plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, water, and lean protein a priority. Get those in first thing every meal. Once that starts to become a habit, then work on cutting out "bad" foods and empty calories.
