Higher fats diet?

Hi all, currently I'm trying to amp up my calorie intake by eating more good fats, like nuts and eggs and extra virgin olive oil etc. Obviously only adding a bit so I won't go over my calorie intake, just wondering if anybody had any success by encorporating more natural fats into their diet? The word 'fat' obviously throws me off a bit and I've heard from some people nuts are a) either really good or are b) very fattening. Any advice/experience would be greatly appreciated!! :)
