Strength Training and Weigh-In

Should you weigh yourself the morning after a strength training workout? I am perplexed on this subject. I my workout at the gym last night and was told my measurement could not be taken because I would not get an accurate measurement. I am wondering if the same effect could happen to weigh-in the morning after strength training. Currently, I am strength training Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I do some form of cardio M-F. Should I change my weigh-in day to one of my rest days for an accurate reading?

I usually weigh myself after my REST DAY...I tend to always show a gain when I weighed in after a weight training day...due to water retention from muscle repair.0

I am having that problem Janeen. The last two weeks I have had a huge gain the morning after my workout. I would reweigh myself the following day and the gain is gone. It is becoming frustrating because it make it appears that I am not making any progress with my weight loss and it throws my tracking off. I think I will change my check-in day to one of my rest days.
Thanks for replying.0 -
As long as your reference day is the same every week you will be fine, i would however weigh yourself before a workout because you dont always drink the same amount of fluids and you also dont do the same workouts all the time so it may vary slightly but the main thing is to always use a consistent reference day, i.e always take your weekly progress from the same day at the same time0

Thanks Quickster34! I normally check-in on Tuesday at 6:30am. I will move it to Sunday at 6:30 am. I just don't want my frustration to turn into something more. I can not and will not be defeated by this!0
