While I was doing my morning exercises, I watched an infomercial on Flavorwave turbo ovens.
It looks like something GREAT to have, since it cooks things without any fat, in FAR less time, even from a frozen state.
I'd really LOVE to have some feedback from anyone who has one. Thanks. :flowerforyou: Brenda

I had the original version and it was outstanding. Bought the newer version which I wasn't overly fond of.

One thing I loved about it was the dome. You could cook stinky stuff, like salmon, and there was no odor permeating through the house. This comes in handy when my girlfriend and I have nine cats.

What is also great is that you can cook stuff from frozen and it comes out very nice.

I've owned both a Flavor Wave and a Foreman Grill and prefer the Flavor Wave.

    Well worth the investment.

    Hope that helps....

Thanks sooooo much for your recommendation! It really DOES look like something great to have!
I just hate wasting money though, which is exactly why I asked our wonderful MFP members for advice! Thanks again. Brenda :flowerforyou:

Brenda...trust me, you won't be wasting your money. One thing I will recommend is that you snoop around on their website. For awhile, they were selling refurbished models which were just as good as the new version. The dome on mine got broken and I bought a new refurbished one cheap. It may save you half the price.

I have the NuWave and I truly enjoy it. I cook just for myself and found that before I cooked less because of heating the oven, pots and pans, etc.

I have found it easy to cook whole chickens, salmon, tilapia, baked sweet potatoes in the NuWave. it comes with a chart for cooking times, and I've had to tweek the time based on the level of doneness that works for me. But it is like any other oven in that respect.

I like that the fat drips off in the lower pan...I just can't say enough good things about it.

My husband went on Ebay and managed to get a brand new one for only 40.00, plus another 25.00 for shipping and handling! I can't understand why it's only a third of the price on the website, but, I'm sure not gonna complain about it!
I can't wait to get it and try it out! I've never been much of a cook. I'm hoping that the meat WILL come out juicy for a change, instead of my usual all dried out!
