Hi! Wow, talk about coincidence but I had the same kind of moment yesterday. Everything was fine and dandy yesterday throughout breakfast, lunch, snacks, etc but the moment I got home all hell broke loose and I wanted to eat everything in sight. It was so discouraging because I had been doing so well since early January too. I realized today it was because of all the goodies that had been left around the house from Super Bowl Sunday so it all had to go!

If I have a similar situation today when I get home, I'm going to step outside to walk, no matter how cold it is.

Just know you aren't alone - happens to all of us. If you do fall off, just get right back on. :-)

Go to the gym and pick up both a 10 lb and a 5 lb weight. Hold them out in front of yourself for as long as you can.

    Kinda heavy, isn't it?

Now, know that by your hard work and effort, that's just about what you've lost. It took too much effort, too much blood, sweat, and tears to get that weight off, why would you want to ever go back?

I've been at this since June of last year everybody wobbles from time to time. I've been wobbling lately myself. There is no magic answer that works for everybody. Some people can just think about it and decide to stop, others have to work and struggle daily.

I usually find that I have to spend a week or so forcing myself to eat super clean and push myself to work out. But, at the end of that week I've picked the healthy habits back up and can better avoid temptation.

This is a lifestyle change, not a diet. You will slip up, but it's okay. The key is to not let a slip (no matter how big or small) turn into a decision to quit. You need to be able to live your life and that means occasionally eating birthday cake or eating out at a restaurant.

When I'm struggling I tend to spend a lot of time here in the forums reading other peoples experiences, questions, advice, successes, etc...

Good luck, remember you can do this!
  • thank you so much some good advice!! just had my tea and feeling a little better now.....tomorrow is another day!!!
