Question about fruit

Someone recently told me that you should never eat just fruit and nothing else for a snack. She said to *always* eat a protein along with fruit. Does anyone else know if this is true and why?
Thanks!
Thanks!

It's largely personal preference. The kicker with fruit is that it tends to get absorbed and burned off very quickly, so it doesn't keep you full for long. Eating protein (or fruits with fiber) can help keep you full as fiber is slower to digest.
The other times people say this is when they are struggling to get enough protein, so they make it a point to have some protein at every meal/snack.
If it works for you then I wouldn't worry too much about it.0 -
The sugar can hit your system too fast, if you have an issue with low or high blood sugar. Team it with fiber and/or protein and it will slow it down and fill you up.0
